At Bright Star Prints, we know not everyone’s a design pro, but that doesn’t mean you can’t create awesome stickers! One of the most common issues people run into is the size of their artwork. Let’s break it down in simple terms so you can set up your file perfectly for printing.
When Your File Is Too Small
If your file is too small, your print might end up looking pixellated or blurry—and that’s definitely not what you want for your stickers!
Why Is My File Too Small?
- Saved from a website? A lot of the time, images saved from the web are made for online use, meaning they’re too small for printing. These images are fine for your Instagram feed, but they won’t hold up when we try to turn them into stickers.
- PNG files with a few colours: Sometimes, your file might be small in size but still good for printing. If you’ve saved your logo as a PNG file with only a few colours, it might look small on your screen, but don’t worry—it could still be print-ready.
If you’re unsure whether your file is too small, simply hit the “Email Artwork Later” button, and our team will have a look. We’ll let you know if it’s good to go or if you’ll need a larger file.

When Your File Is Too Large
On the flip side, if your file is too large, our system might not be able to process it. 10mb is the largest file you can upload to our site. But never fear, you can still ’email your artwork later’.
What Should I Do?
If your file is huge (like, hundreds of megabytes), you’ll need to compress it. If that sounds complicated or you’re not sure how to do it, you can always send the file straight to us by clicking on the “Email Artwork Later” button. We’ll take care of it for you!
